Inspiration: "Promoting Peaceful Coexistence, Conflict Resolution, and Cultural Diversity"

This painting was inspired by a desire to express the beauty of peace and unity. Through my artwork, I aimed to celebrate diversity by incorporating four distinct elements and identities:

  • A symbol of peace (a broken weapon or a peace emblem)

  • A woman

  • A man

  • A child

I also used symbolic elements like the dove, olive fruit, and a traditional woven basket (Shola) to represent harmony and cultural richness. Each of these components is illustrated with unique colors to emphasize their differences yet they all come together to form one cohesive image.

  • The painting: Weaving Harmony

The presence of the weapon in the painting serves a powerful message: when used correctly, even tools once meant for destruction can symbolize peace. But war is never the right path for any nation or people. That’s why the weapon is shown dismantled or destroyed, reinforcing that only through love, dialogue, and understanding can peace truly prevail.

Techniques: Acrylic on canvas using brushstroke layering and texture to highlight contrast and connection.

Message: Love wins.

This painting carries a message for the next generation: let us pass on love, peace, and culture not hatred, conflict, or division.
